IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•CURRENT CANON POINT: episode 8 of season 2, during the shoot-out at the stash house/monastery
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: in general, Barry makes a concerted effort to pass for "nondescript". he's 6'2" and not really as lean as he was when he served but not especially overweight either, since his job keeps him in decent shape. Normally he keeps pretty well groomed, but lately that's started to go, leaving him with a perpetual five o'clock shadow. He's got dark brown hair he generally keeps trimmed on the shorter side and blue eyes, and favors subdued colors in his wardrobe.
•DEMEANOR: Barry is one of those rare humans who has somehow managed to be pretty imposing and easy to overlook all at once. In general, he prefers to try to pass for unassuming, timid and uncertain in most interactions and perfectly content to follow the crowd rather than blaze out on his own. Except if you look closer, a lot of his mannerisms tend to have a half-subtle "what am I supposed to be feeling right now" undertone at best and a barely-contained "I am trying very hard not to do the terrible thing" undertone at worst, so he generally favors brief responses so he doesn't have to try very hard.

That being said, when he feels something strongly he has a VERY difficult time trying to cover it up, no matter what the emotion is.
•ABILITIES: Nothing especially superhuman, he's bog-standard human to start. That being said, he's a trained Marine who's kept up with his training since getting discharged and is touted as one of the best contract killers in the business. He's been shown to be able to shoot a man at 700 yards with deadly accuracy and take out multiple targets efficiently with minimal effort and extreme precision. He's good at improvising, and tactics, and more than accomplished at disguising his kills to cover his tracks, either by disposing of or concealing the evidence or making the hit look like it was done by somebody else to tell a narrative that will keep the cops from looking his way.

...granted, his job is about the only thing he's really, truly, sincerely good at, but hey. Everybody's got to have their Thing.

•MEDICAL INFORMATION: bog standard! Barry's totally, completely human in all aspects. He's likely been diagnosed with PTSD and he's had a few concussions but past that nothing special.
•CABIN INFORMATION: standard apartment door, inside is a one room loft type apartment decked out in "I was absolutely a marine once" chic. All the basics are there (sans shower obviously), and it looks like whoever lives there doesnt take care of himself particularly well.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: passing judgments on nebulous people he can see himself in, mostly. threatening the people he cares about. threatening to kill him personally.

IC PERMISSIONS:
•MENTAL: oh absolutely, please do. He's absurdly easy to manipulate even without supernatural powers
•MIMICRY: sure! Just give me a heada up first
•VIOLENCE: hell yes, the violent little shit loves fights. Well. No he doesn't really but he gets into them a lot
•MAGIC: hell yes go for it
•DEBATE: go for it! He might not be great at it but that's fine
•OTHER / NOTES: it's worth mentioning that Barry has something of a hair-trigger when it comes to threatening him or the people he cares about. push him hard enough and he WILL lash out, and he has a nasty habit of pushing through whatever comes his way until the target's eliminated. it's something that's super important to explore in the context of the Barge because working through the impulse will have to be part of his path to graduation, but it's also not something I want to just throw in without a warning.
